Mihai Popoviciu ‎– Echo Audio

Since first appearing on the label back in 2016, Romanian scene stalwart (and sometime Poker Flat regular) Mihai Popoviciu has made regular returns to Pornbugs’ Bondage Music imprint. Even so, ‘Echo Audio’ marks Popoviciu’s first appearance on the label for two years. He starts in confident mood via ‘This’, a bumping, peak-time ready chunk of energetic deep house marked out by a chunky bassline, sweat-soaked drums and spacey synth sounds, before opting for a more tech-house-meets-deep house flavour on the hypnotic and mind-altering ‘Jewel’. Pornbugs remixes ‘Only’, wrapping tactile synths and dub techno style motifs around a rock-solid groove, while Frink turns ‘This’ into a deep, dubby and dreamy treat.
